Screen porch revamp

Josh thinks this is his "men's lounge" now!  As mentioned, the only way I talked the mister into buying this house was telling him we could have a great Masters' Party on our screen porch.  We did it last weekend and I have to believe that was first annual.  We had a blast and thank all our friends for coming -- and bringing lots of great food & drinks!

The screen porch revamp turned out bright and cheerful...maybe not so manly, but Josh doesn't seem to care.

Before

After - much more tied together for my liking. (ignore all the pollen in these pics - real life!)
The coffee table is one of a pair of end tables that my parents had in their den when they were first married.  It was a medium wooden color, so I spray painted it cream.

The flower pillows were really reasonable ready-made from Atlantic Avenue.  All the fabric is $10 / yd. Sunbrella from Mill Outlet.  Mill Outlet has LOTS to chose from and they have the best prices.

I'm thrilled with how the contrasting piping turned out.

So excited that my parents will be arriving any minute.  Off to get dinner ready and enjoy a weekend with them.

XO,
Whit

  1. LOVE the contrasting piping!. It's a huge trend at the Highpoint Furniture Market this year. & I'm so going to start using the term 'Ladies Lounge'

  4. Love those throw pillows and the piping! Have you ever looked or used fabric from Serena and Lily? If you haven't searched their site, I'm sure you'd love it :)

  5. This is just fabulous. I’m loving the whole setting, especially the color of your throw pillows. They’re very lovely! The flooring was great too! It gave the room an artistic touch. You only have a few fixtures, but they’ve created the perfect cozy ambiance for a screened porch!
