Powder Room Inspiration: Black, off-white & gold

Inspiration Board I created for our future powder room:

Things I actually own (the reality!):

Wallpaper sample hanging in my current bathroom to show the true scale:

The wallpaper is Osborne & Little's Best in Show -- it is flocked (for amateurs like me...I learned yesterday that means the dogs are velvety feeling, not the fact that there are a "flock of dogs" ha!).

Be honest -- should I go for it or is it too busy and wild?  I think I love it, but am getting myself a little nervous and wallpaper is an investment so I don't want to get tired of it.

XO,
Whit

PS- Just need one more follower to make 50 -- help a girl out! :)

  1. Whit! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Always a good idea to consider the source, but I don't think it's too busy at all! Gwyneth loves it too, naturally.

    1. Tell Gwyneth I'm annoyed there aren't any cocker spaniels or yorkies! :)

  3. I think you can totally get away with it!! I'm a huge dog person, so I say why not!!! :)
I also love that pink in your current bathroom--do you happen to know what color it is? Pinks are so hard to pick!

    1. I do -- it is Benjamin Moore Razzle Dazzle. I have really loved it and am still considering using it again. It is BRIGHT. I did a post a long time ago http://ottospinkelephant.blogspot.com/2011/03/razzle-dazzle.html that shows more pics of the current bathroom.
Thanks for your comment on the paper!

  4. Whitney-
Thanks for the comment over at The Jem Journal. The pretty lace skirt you like is Diane von Frustenberg and is on sale at barneys. Here is the long link!
